Early Life
Coral Bhamra was born on 12 November 1993 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Coral’s father Ravi Bhamra is a businessman and mother Neelu Bhamra is a beautician. Born and brought up in Jamshedpur, Coral moved to Bangalore for higher studies after completing her schooling from Sacred Heart Convent School.
After graduating from the Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography in Bangalore, she moved to Mumbai. After establishing her footing in Mumbai, she joined Anupam Kher’s school, Actor Prepares.
Fascinated by dance since childhood, Coral used to perform in many cultural functions during her school days. In an interview, Coral talked about this and said,
“I have been very fond of dancing since childhood. I used to give a lot of stage performances during my school days. I am a stage lover and an artist. I had always thought of becoming a choreographer but life had different plans for me. I got my first project from an audition and since then I took interest in acting. I didn’t look back after that. My mother inspired me to enter the world of acting. My parents supported me throughout my career.”
According to Coral, during her initial days, she was rejected in many acting auditions due to her short stature. In an interview, Coral talked about this and said,
“I know actors have to go through a lot of struggles. I have also lost roles for not being tall enough. This made me very sad. Sometimes I was not even given a chance to audition. They used to say, ‘Ya toh toh khot dikh rahi hai, want a girl with tall height’. I understand that sometimes this script may be required, but not in all cases.”
Career
Coral Bhamra started her career in 2017 with a television series ‘Kundali Bhagya’. After which she worked in many more TV series. Coral has also played an important role in an Indian television show ‘Teri Meri Ikk Jindri’ in 2021. In this series, Coral was seen in the role of Renu Chopra, a Punjabi girl who is the elder sister of the protagonist. She has also done a film named ‘No Man’s Truth’ in 2020. Coral is also known for web series like ‘Bisaat’, ‘Koi Hai’ and ‘CAT’. ‘CAT’ is a crime thriller web series starring Coral.
Apart from acting, Coral is also interested in singing. She frequently posts her singing videos on her social media accounts. Coral has performed as a singer in many live shows in India and abroad. In an interview, she talked about this and said,
“I have always been fond of singing. Not many people know that I have performed as a singer in live shows in India and abroad. I am very happy that viewers liked my singing video and also supported me through this. I hope to do many more soon. Whenever I upload a video I get so much love and amazing response from fans.”
