Early life

Ankita Kumari was born on 21st February 1996 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She is the daughter of Ramesh Prasad Yadav. Raised in Jamshedpur, Ankita completed her schooling at Beldih Church School and later pursued a Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from Amity University, Kolkata.

Career

Ankita’s journey to success began when she was crowned Miss Jamshedpur in 2014. This victory marked the beginning of her promising career. She went on to secure a spot in the top 3 at Femina Miss India West Bengal 2017 and was also selected as a finalist in the Miss Diva 2017 Kolkata auditions. In the same year, Ankita was crowned Miss India International 2017 and had the honor of representing India at the Miss International 2017 pageant in Japan.

In addition to her pageant achievements, Ankita Kumari was appointed as the Japan Tourism Ambassador, further showcasing her influence and versatility. She was also the runner-up in the Tiara Queen by TGPC competition. Ankita draws a great deal of inspiration from Kylie Versoza, her favorite Miss International, whose journey continues to motivate her.

In an interview she says:

“My first reaction was WOW! It was always a dream to represent India on a big platform and I was selected after a rigorous vetting by Glamourand Supermodel India (they have the license to send India’s representative to Miss International). I was in awe But was confident and told myself that I will do justice to the faith that my national director has shown in me. There can be no greater feeling of pride than to be called an Indian.”
