Early life

Shruti Kanwar was born in 1991 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, into a Hindu family. She completed her schooling at D.B.M.S. English School in Jamshedpur. After finishing her school education, Shruti decided to pursue acting as her career and moved to Mumbai with great enthusiasm. Once in Mumbai, she studied full-time acting at the Institute of Creative Excellence (ICE).

Career

She had always dreamed of becoming an actress. After completing her education in Jamshedpur, Shruti moved to Mumbai. Shruti often told her father that she wanted to go to Mumbai and become an actress. After completing her course, Ekta Kapoor chose Shruti for an important role in the popular TV show Pavitra Rishta. After auditioning for the role of Ovi, she was selected, which changed her life. Shruti is still widely recognized for her portrayal of Ovi in Pavitra Rishta.
